Braidwood California Bungalow

Designed to comply with heritage restrictions in Braidwood Ridge Estate, this modern Californian bungalow was a joy to design.

The California bungalow grew out of the federation style in the early 20th Century and has key elements that were referenced in this design.

 

The site was a corner block and the views were not ideal for good solar passive design so we had to be creative with the layout, to ensure a warm and liveable house in the cold climate of Braidwood. The client's choice of a large country kitchen works really well with the overall feel of the home. The house was built by Green Homes SE NSW.
